PL Kelp 7-13 PM

Launched out of Shelter at 4:30. Went out to the kelp. Bait everywhere, couldn't get any to bite the sabiki. Threw plastics and Krocs.

5 Barricuda, all decent size
2 Bass, smaller models
1 Bonita, Decent Size

Back around 7:30.

What did you put on the sabaki? i use a 1/8" square of squid on each hook and since i usually target 6" smelt, the smaller hooked ones. I like the sabakis with the little green balls and a short featherlike thingy on them. I chum with a mash made up of 1 can tuna, 1 empty tuna can of veg oil then enough quick raw oats to make it all hold together. Its mixed in a gallon ziplock and I throw a spoon full out at a time. I freeze what's leftover for the next time. it'll catch what's around you plus it chums up the calicos as well. Everybody loves tuna. Tuna is cheap at Costco.
