EPIC bass fishin' ...6-6-6...w/pix

Called Tay (It'll Do) last night. Debated. Get reamed at the pump and go to Cat., or jump on the half day and relax. No brainer.

Glad we did. This was hands down the sickest day of BIG calico fishing Ive seen in a long while. Only 7 guys on the AM boat, and jugged with live squirts.

Started great. Limits on sanders for the customers in 40 minutes max...

Enough of that. We all agreed on going calico fishing, but only C&R. No problem.

First batch...

NICE...

Then we started getting busted off on 20...then 30...then 40...WTF? I tied on 60 lb. fluoro and was still getting tooled by HUGE bass. I have very few, and crappy pics of the carnage. I was fishing, fuck pictures. But i promise you, these fish were 4-7 plus Lbs., and MEAN!

This one was a 7'er...

Then Mr. BSB strolled through. Tay was the lucky one....

He has a cooler pic of the fish, ill let him post it. Easy 125 lb. plus pig!

Got drunk...played cards, decided to do a re-ride on the PM run....

NICE!!! 8?

All the sand bass died a horific death. All calicos survived the carnage.

Drank more, played more cards.

Good night now.

Re: EPIC bass fishin' ...6-6-6...w/pix

Nice fish, but getting busted off by a calico on 20, 30, or even 40lb test sounds like BS to me. Schoolie tuna can't even break 30lb test. There must have been some yellowtail in the area or something.

Re: EPIC bass fishin' ...6-6-6...w/pix

Yeah thats him. Tim.

And getting busted off on 60 is for real. Ver nasty, shallow structure. Super high rise. Super big, tough, homeguard bass. Something to be experienced. Ive had the pleasure of doing it before. And believe you me, I pull hard. They pull harder. Leadhead and squid, in there house. Youll always lose. Its SICK!
