Fished Rosa on the Pacific Dawn with a buddy from work. For Limits on WSB and rockfish
Left Wednesday night at 10:00ish, and headed for the bait receiver for some squid they had left there the day before. Guess someone else must have needed it worse

so we said screw it and headed out with the little that was left. A lot of swell and wind getting out to Rosa, but managed some decent sleep anyway. Got up at 5 when the skipper throttled back
The Mirage was nice enough to give us a couple of scoops of squid
Spent a good hour or so with the passengers that were up trying to make squid, for nadda.
We ended up with limits on the Seabass by 11:00 am, then went and tore up the rockfish. Nice size reds and chuckleheads and a few lings. Pat Cavanaugh (sp.?) runs an excellent operation. and it has been a long time since I have seen Deckies (Mike and Victor) work that hard on a local boat. Alot of hussle and enthusiasm
The boat (Pacific Dawn) is well run and well taken care of. The skipper and the second both came from the excel and thats why their customer service is top notch. we were also treated to the best WSB fish taco's I have ever had. And am looking forward to fishing on this boat again.
If you like the Lingasauras you should get some of the Sumo chrome bannana jigs. They loved it in a D8 (8 oz)
