Irvine Lake Report 3-22

Decided to have a father-daughter day out on the water at Lake Irvine. Let Princess Valerie (5 yrs old) sleep in until 6:30am. Didn't make it down to the lake until 8:10am, no worries, my Garmin GPS Map76 said that a "good time" to fish, per the celestial feature, was between 8:29am and 10:29am.

Met up with Brad "NoLDR" and his two Princess's Kara and Kylie, Lou "Pez Loco" and his son Marshall and Kevin "HMcaF" and his son Josh who were already at the lake since 6am.

Trolled a needlefish and rapala using lead core at 2-3 colors. Ended up catching about 32 Rainbow Trout, 2 Steelhead and 1 Largemouth Bass between the nine of us, almost limits.

Here is Lou with his first Rainbow of the day.

Here is Josh with a Rainbow.

Here is Marshall with a Largemouth Bass that ate the rapala. I tried my best to convince/bribe Marshall to smile for the camera but he held firm to his committment that he never smiles for the camera.

Here I am with my daughter Valerie showing off some of the tasty Rainbow's.

Here's a pic of Lou and his son Marshall coming back from a trolling run aboard the "Red Drum". That boat is one heck of a fish-killing machine.

Had to get off the lake at 4pm just when the bite was starting to take off again. The weather and landscape was absolutely beautiful. Everyone had an enjoyable day and it was great fun fishing Irvine Lake. HOOK-UP!!
