| MDR Halibut tournament
Fished the Hali derby this weekend out of MDR. Saturday was rainy and rocky for 4 shorts, and 1 nice sand bass. Sunday was better weather , but much the same for fishing . we pulled out the boat this morning in the rain again !
We fished all of the popular spots, topanga, twin towers, MDR reef, paradise cove, big rock , pepperdine, but it wasn't our wekend for luck. There were several nice fish with a 41 pounder taking the win. Lots of great giveaways at the awards dinner.
Great bait was available. I expected it to roll , but it lasted from friday until this morning. Some people complained about the availability of bait, but we topped off every day without any problems? I wish the rest of the bait receivers had quality bait like this .
