La Jolla Kelp 7/20

Fished on my friends 14' aluminum "El Retardo" today with reelhoojup and megustafish5, owner of the boat, and caught some quality calicos...few slime sticks. All in all fun but pretty slow day. Biggest calicos went 17". Biggest slime sticks went 20"...nothing big.

I was out there. Tonnage of chovies. Had a few calicos eat my spanish, biggest around 4 pounds. Alot of bumps and followers on the iron, couple cuda stuck. Saw alot of boiling calicos, slimers and boneys. Best area was out around NW. I know one Yellowtail was landed, around 12# on a kroc and one around 20# that was lost at color.
