6/10 beach fishing

We could use one more. Beach fished with jscrib yesterday evening. Overcast and kind of cold out, lots of kelp monster. Hard to fish in the kelp since they did not bite real well. We picked away at the Yellowfin Croaker and BSP. Saw a small Batray right in front of my feet and tried to bait him with gulp and he would come up to it. He was like my pet for a few minutes.

2 super hotties jogging.

Hey Zzzz,
I went and fished Torrey pines this morning 6-11, after I went down the the ramp and tried to help with the Tourney.

Found the sandcrabs and it was all you wanted BSP, caught a few toads most were typical size. A few croaker, small, were also in the mix.

I tried the bloody gulp and I couldnt get bit. Are you using it whole? I tried "carolina rigging" it whole then I tried just a piece, no mas.

Talked to a fly flinger who started to fish Del Mar, he left because of the red tide. he said it was moving south. Plenty of nice cuts to fish @ Torrey.

That's the best part! Got a bunch of them up here in SB, let's just say that when I go "perch fishing" I don't always have a rod with me!

Thanks for the reports!

Good going on all you wanted.....I use a 1/2 of the Gulp but if the Sand Crabs are showing there with roe or atleast some decent size to them I would use those over Gulp... I fish it on a Carolina Rig though.. 1/2-3/4 ounce for BSP and Croaker.... Once the Crabs really show I use a smaller slider for Corbina in the shallows.

Thanks for the heads up on the red tide. I figured it would creap on down South becuase I saw it from C-Bad- Cardiff last week, err.

I need to hit up Torrey soon.... Thanks for the dope.
