i fish the bay all the time, i put alot of time in on the bays and you just gotta go fish and find your own honey hole. just like with any sport the more time you put in the better you get. go scout some places take a lite set up with some plastic and keep woking the shore. if you don't get bit you either suck or you need to keep moving around.

I'll do you a favor, grab a 10lb set up 1/4 oz lead head and a pumpkinseed grub about 3-4 inches. A bottle of Hotsauce and cast along the piling or moorings. Keep in consideration that 2 hours before and 2 hours after low tide is prime fishing time. Water movement triggers fish into actively feed or becoming more aggressive. Basically fan cast an area varying your retrieve until you find one that works. Normally I'll take a long cast and just a nice slow steady retrieve works good, rattle traps are also a good choice. You can cover a ton of water with one, try different colors as well. Orange and tan smaller grub, chartruese, white, clear with red flakes. I have nailed spotties on bass spinnerbaits, crankbaits, swimbaits, There is no set way just about everything works at one time or the other. If the cuda are around castmasters and crocs......this should at least point you in the right direction the rest is time and then more time mix a little experimentation and you'll start to consitently hook fish. One last hint, after a few times you will get a good idea of where to fish on what tides. Time brudda time just give it time and fish hard!!!
