Middle Grounds

Headed out to get bait by 5am Thanks to radar. Fog was dense vis down to about 70 feet. set course for pucky picked up some bottom feeders. Slow drift finder a must --- no mark = no fish. Shot into the middle grounds, picked up some nicer sized lings and a 25 - 30 lb yellow. Headed below south island fished the birds, no luck. Swell multi directional wind low to moderate, in all a nice day on the water.

Whilst I was home for the weekend with strep throat , my fellow puppets went out on saturday. The fog was up and they used the radar to find thier way safely to the islands( they used GPS and compass /charts aswell )
They had thier share of taco fillins at Pukey ( not pucky dumbass ) and proceeded to the mids for a few nice Lings and a 'tail that scaled out at 27.36 lbs. It appeared to be somewhat of a washingmachine on a small light load , but they had fun anyways "puppet 2 is kinda shy and doesn't like to write much and 'puppet 3 is bizzy with my sister

what time is the fog burning off ? I've done the gps thing in the fog to the islands before, but I don't have radar..... had some moron in a 30 footer cross my path a couple times early one morning in the soup. SOB didn't even see me before I changed direction and then it happened again. Fortunately after the first encounter we were pretty on edge and heard him before seeing him..... not to mention that it's a holiday weekend coming up..... tight lines.
