| Newport to Dana for fish taco's
I was taking the boat to Allison for the first service and I'm think'in thats way too far to drive and way too close to the water to not go out. I call a friend to see if he wants to go out. He's a go and even stops by Carls for food. I put the boat in solo at the back bay and pick him up at the Coast Guard dock. The goal is to check the flow scan but I brought 4 rods and both boxes. I could probably go on a 4 day with what I brought. We made a couple runs outside the harbor, checking the gph vs the mph then decided to get the lines wet. The water was great, looked a lot like smooth chocolate milk. You could call the debris, the marshmallows. Beat the crap out of sitting at home. After he caught a #6 Mack and I caught a #8 Baracuda (inches for both), we decided fish taco's sounded nice and headed to Dana.
Got the taco's and headed back up for another drift. We got a couple hits but my leadheads are OLD! 15+ years are the new ones. Anyway, we headed back in and I dropped off the boat. Should be ready next week. they are also doing my t-ducer. I'll finally have the fishfinder up and running. Like I said, beats the crap out of sitting at home. 50 mile trip and 12 gallons of fuel. We did 28+mph most of the time. I can't wait to spend 2-3 days at a time at the 1010.
