Left Sunset Aquatic at 6:30am.Hit LB Bait for a load of mixed chovies and sardines-cant believe how much they gave us for $20.
Ran down the beach in flat calm seas .Reached the fleet and set up for wide open cudas.Lasted about 1/2 hour then they sank out .Fished the area for another hour or so picked up one here and one there. They were all logs nice grade of fish.
Ran back up the the Long Beach Light and drift fished the corner of the wall.Wide open for 2 hours on calicos-asst mix some shorts some legals and a few nice ones 3-4 lbs.Every cast was a fish even gor a pencil cuda .
Chovies with a 1/8 egg sinker did the trick-40 feet of water about 20-30 yards from the kelp. The calicos would come out of the kelp and inhale your bait-we caught well over 30 between the two of us.
Wind picked up a bit around 1 pm .We called it a day at 2pm and headed to the barn.Great day on the water with some great local fishing.

Total for the day.
Cudas-7
Calicos-30+
Macks -2

Loving the new boat-the thing runs at 43 mph and sips gas.
