South Bay Friday Late Report

Well Bruce and I hit the South Bay Friday evening to do a little hunting. We started out super slow first hour I got three spottys and Bruce got one. Then I hooked something working my three inch grub in and it was on like donkey kong! I am bent double with my 8 pound test drag screaming at first then it goes limp it is rushing the boat I reel fast and catch up with it after a couple more screams of the drag I get it to the boat it is my biggest sand shark yet Bruce decides to grab the tail no way too strong here comes the gaff second swing he gets it right below the mouth, he gets it to the bottom of the boat and it starts beating the poop out of my legs. Meanwhile he is pumping blood all over the boat and me!

Sorry but this is my first blood spill on the little boat. Notice the blood running in the bottom of the boat.

Look at my shorts notice the butter bottle, uni goop bucket, and salmon eggs!

Thanks for taking the time to meet me Tommy made for a great day! Well then right after that fight the fishing turned good. We had a boat stop right in our drift and they were getting nada but I was WFO for the last hour I ended with 19 spotties, 1 sand shark, and my personel best Bonefish it was the usual slotted length but it was a good bit fatter. Bruce boated 10 spottys. I tried a new color of three inch grub and it was awesome. The butter was at the perfect temperature that made it flow in a nice paste out of my squeeze tube! Great evening and start of a weekend.
