Boat relocation fish report 07-02-09 (crushed them!)

Decided to get the rig a little closer for the up coming tuna season so ran her down from H.H. to shelter cove for a few months. It just made sense to stop over at the cove on the way down. Glad we did.
Very sloppy crossing. I tried to sleep while my partner and "rog" got us there.
But didn't really get any sleep until we got to the lee of the island.

Set up at at around 2 and put the droppers out.

Woke up at grey with untouched baits.
At around 630 it was game on with fish to 40lbs.
At one time we had 4 fish on for 3 guys. Really good fishing.
Yellows, halibut, and cbass.

Looked for some of that Blue Fin Tuna and in and around the 43 as we ran into Diego. A little life about 12 miles south of the head (whales, bait balls etc) but no visual tuna spotting and or bites.

Looks like it won't be long though. I hope so since we just moved "end of the line" down there. Bring on the tuna.
