| 30lb SD bay Butts
6 X 5lbs = 30lbs. Sorry guys, I'm a jerk.
well fishing was barely better than yesterday. I took my good buddy John out in the bay after telling him last nite that the halis were on the chew.
well they were. we caught about 30-40 halis today. But I think I'm fishing in a nursery
we keep six, between 23"-25". We let a couple other 22.5" go.
we just could not get anything big. We talked to a guy on the spot and he holds up 2, 28" and 30". Man I'm snake bit or something.
We saw some guys farm a bigger one at gaff too.
Well 3 ea. will fillet out nice.
Sardines and Anchovies. 35-10 ft.
Todd.

But I just can't get bit by the right one, been cursed for 2 years. Biggest last year was only 15#s.
Trying again tommorrow, just gunna bounce ball in 40ft with 16" jack smelt!!
We could have pulled 10, but don't need a bunch of freezer fish after last weeks "swiveltail"
They are definitely chewing in the bay though, we fished 30# all day, hog hunting!

Many of my Hali's up here have been sitting in 5-15 feet of water...Having a ton of luck workig uphill on structure, using the dominant current to push the bait from deeper to shallower water were the fish are holding. Might work okay down there...??
