Name: Jim Perkins Age: 40 Vessel: 24' striper "D'Bar" Location: Alpine Job:Local 12 Equipment Operator | Threshers Favorite jig Color? Ok this is my fourth year fishing the T's. My #1 jig to get hit in the pattern is Black and green. It doesn't matter if its a Bait-O-Matic or a BallyHood, With second being Black and purple.
I see alot of guys getting hit on Pink this year. I guess there is a lot of Females this year or a lot of Gay Male T's around!!!
I know with the tuna its dark jigs in low light, and bright jigs on sunny days. Cloudy or Sunny days, Green and Black has always worked for me on the T's. Just wondering what works for you?

However, occasionally I tie on something different and fish it with conviction and get bit. I used to let the customers pick out the colors to troll that day. I would ALWAYS put a black and orange (pumpkin) down the middle. We caught fish on every damn thing you pitched behind the boat and pulled around. The tackle dealers will hate me for this, but the color that works the best is the one you already have. Have a little faith in your worm and it will work for you.

wire, hooks, crimps and swivels run about $10-$15
So a re-rigged bait-o runs about $40.00
You can make your own with torpedoes or egg sinkers and a squid skirt for around $20.00
