Threshers Favorite jig Color?

Ok this is my fourth year fishing the T's. My #1 jig to get hit in the pattern is Black and green. It doesn't matter if its a Bait-O-Matic or a BallyHood, With second being Black and purple.

I see alot of guys getting hit on Pink this year. I guess there is a lot of Females this year or a lot of Gay Male T's around!!!

I know with the tuna its dark jigs in low light, and bright jigs on sunny days. Cloudy or Sunny days, Green and Black has always worked for me on the T's. Just wondering what works for you?

I second the green and black. I own 10 bait-o's. 7 are black and green. But... I have had luck with most colors.

I've had the best luck on pink and white, but I still like to have a mex flag and a mean joe green in the water.

I have never seen a thresher, but I know that I have my favorite colors. However, occasionally I tie on something different and fish it with conviction and get bit. I used to let the customers pick out the colors to troll that day. I would ALWAYS put a black and orange (pumpkin) down the middle. We caught fish on every damn thing you pitched behind the boat and pulled around. The tackle dealers will hate me for this, but the color that works the best is the one you already have. Have a little faith in your worm and it will work for you.

pink and white only catches female threshers, and sometimes the gay ones too.

Pink was killing it in that warmer clean green water but now that water has moved to the inside it seems like blk w /green or prpl is working the best again.

I'll have to give em a chance....I like the 9's on the DR cuz the clip can hang...The 16's get annoying on the DR, too many false alarm KD's cuz I've yet to find a clip that can handle em..

Its been pink for me the last 2 years. pink/white and bubble gum

I made up some home made ones with mean joe green 12" squid skirts and 16oz. torpedoes.

They look like killers.

they run higher than bait-o's. no lip.

Bait-o-matics cost $30.00 and need to be re-rigged.

wire, hooks, crimps and swivels run about $10-$15

So a re-rigged bait-o runs about $40.00

You can make your own with torpedoes or egg sinkers and a squid skirt for around $20.00
