Went out for Threshers today in Cbad Canyon, then up to the domes for nothing. Got called into a bonita bite by Armegeddon (thank you!), and spent the next 3 hours having fun with huge bonita.
Didn't have a scale with me, but one of the guys working the area with us said he had a 13 lb average, with the largest going 15! Also thought he might have one qualify for a record on 10 lb line.
Heard chatter on the radio they were getting them from the domes to Newport.
One of the boats with us also said he had two bonita taken by large mako's. We cut a couple up for chum hoping to snag one, no bites.

Forgot to put in original post they were biting everything we threw or trolled with - fishtraps, scampi, crocodiles, etc. About 1/2 were loaded down with eggs.
