4-18-08 Hunt for Mr.T

I'll keep it short because not much happened.
Trolled for a few hours out of Dana Point for not even a knockdown. Water temps between 57.2 and 59. Water still a little cold, I know, but gave it a shot anyhow. Lots of kelp floating in the water that kept fouling the lures.
I hope the T's didn't go the way of the salmon and just vanish.

Thanks for that.
I've had "The Urge" to look for T's this last week. I know it may be a little early yet. Last year I think they came in the first part of May.
I am getting everything ready this week end.

I was out Thursday 4.17, took a peek along the edge from Dana to Mateo. Same story, green rolled, dirty and cold. We passed on the trolling and went inside and totally creamed the turd rollers. Tons of big smelt, like 7"-10", everywhere. Just like some other reports I've seen lately, there's bait all over the place. The fish will soon follow. I dieing to hear my Avet 30/02's screamin' spectra............
