Looking for an all around California type hunting bow... Something that i can take pig, deer and turkey with... Is this plausible??? Any suggestions on what bow and where to get it?

Scroll down to El Toro's post. He's selling a great bow. If it fits you, you would save about $1000.

Joey, If you are new to archery I would strongly suggest you pay a visit to a local archery pro shop. that way you can get fitted & sized up.plus you can shoot a few bows within your budget and decide which one feels right. Imagine playing golf with clubs that are too short or too long. you will never be on top of your game.

You need to decide on type, compound, long, or recurve. Like the other replies, you need to find your draw lenght. Most of the guys I hunted with used a release, I used a tab for my compound bow (Hoyt). After that the type of broadhead for what your hunting is what's important .....pig vs deer. Lenght of bow, draw lenght, arrow rest, type of release, how much weight you can pull and hold comfortably, just afew things to considsider. I haven't hunted in a few years, and my reason is, because to be successful you can't get into bow hunting half ass. The guys that do it are badass. They know how to pay attention to detail.

They can all be dialed in to be accurate, that is not the issue. The issue is figuring out your draw length and shooting several to find the one you like.
I have a Hoyt Ultra-Tec that I used to shoot but I just bought a Matthews Drenalin LD and it is like night and day. The Hoyt is now my backup bow if that tells you anything (-;
Matthews, Hoyt and Bowtech are the big brands and you can't go wrong with any of those, you just gotta shoot them all and pick one.
