Re: gun transfers...

I just had a rifle transferred through Don Gussler in Santee. $50 total, easy to deal with. Don does lots of Gun Show transfers. Home based.

Re: gun transfers...

I've done all my internet purchases (similar procedure) through Unique Pawn Brokers on University. Very smooth process.

Re: gun transfers...

Private party transfer is $35.00 max by law.
FFL transfer can be whatever price they want.

Re: gun transfers...

private party transfer is:
I have a gun that you want to buy. We both meet up at turners to do the transfer from me to you, thats 35 bucks out the door.

FFl transfer is: when you order a firearm online from a gun store, they ship it to a Federal Firearms liscensed dealer (turners, gun stores, etc..) Thats 125.00 @ turners and that doesnt include firearm tax yet.
Dont go to turners for FFL!!

what gun are you looking into buying? Is it online or from another person local?
If its a handgun, It must be on the california approved firearms list. If its not on the list then the gun cant be transfered in california.
Here is the link for the firearms list: Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale - Firearms Division - California Dept. of Justice - Office of the Attorney General
The list only applies to FFL only.
Handguns for PPT doesnt have to be on the list.
PM me if you have any questions. I can try to help.

Quick question.
I got a gun from the in laws.(outlaws)
He lives in nortern Cal.
Does he have to go in the store with me to transfer?
Thanx Randy

p.s Here is the I don't know question .
What if I don't register the gun and I get stopped with it in my boat or in my trunk?
Thanx Again

Inlaw has to transfer the gun to you. Getting caught with a gun not registered to you is a big no no in california. You can lose your right to purchase a firearm if you get caught. Risk jail time and big penalties.

Re: gun transfers...

gotcha, im getting it from out of state but from a private seller so it would have to be shipped which maybe is why hes sayin 125 n theres a miscommunication, ill just start lookin local instead. if anybody reads this and is selling a 9mm pistol in good or great shape let me know.

Gussler still does it for $50, my rifle came from out of state, shipped to Don's FFL. Don is also the VP of the South Bay Rod & Gun Club.
