Browning 12 and 16 Gage Shotguns

A friend has both a 12 Gage and 16 Gage "A5" browning semi autos reportedly from the 1930s-1940. How do you go about legally selling/advertising these in California. A gun shop offered $700 for these plus another gun. All guns have some rust and need some serious cleanup.

Google the model #'s of the guns if you need help for identification... Rusted or not. CA. has some regs on how to sell guns... Someone on this board has the regs, it will be posted shortly. Get 2 or 3 evals on the guns. Go to the Stockade, maybe Bass Pro in RC....

To transfer them legally, your need to take them to a gun shop and do a private party transfer. Buyer and seller go to a gun shop, sign paperwork, shop holds gun while buyer waits ten days before coming back to pick up. Most shops charge a small fee for the transfer. Go to GunBroker.com Online Gun Auction to search for other A5's to compare prices. Make sure you know the origin as A5s were made all over. The Belguim made ones command the highest price.
