Last friday night I went watch "I am Legend" with a couple of co-workers here in Dallas. The theater we went to was in a "not so good" part of town. It was the only movie theater with IMAX that was not sold out.
I watched the flick(i really enjoyed it) and headed home. On the way home I stopped off at a Walmart super center, by this time it was midnight.
After I finished my shopping I headed to my car. On the way to my vehicle this crackhead approaches me and ask for change. I give him a buck and head off to my car.
As I get into my car and turn it on I see him approaching my vehicle. I start to backup and he opens my door before I could lock it. He grabs my arm and tries to pull me out, so I pulled out my .45.
He lets out a "Oh Sh*t" and runs off. That is the value of a CCW folks.
No rounds fired and a crime prevented.

Yup Dallas being the Key word. Seriously though, CCW is a pain the butt in Cali, but my parents recently got theirs in San Bernandino County. Its all about demostrating the need. I am still working on my Cali permit.
