Same thing in CO, it's a "shall issue" state. No subjective decision making by the local sheriff.

Funny how the places where you'd need one the most are the hardest to get a permit for.

It's 120.00 and 8 hrsof class here in Nevada. I love this state. Did I mention we have no state payroll tax?

Washington State is required to issue a CCW unless you are a felon or an imbecile.
I have had a CCW permit here in Washingotn for over 25 years. I carry a S&W J frame stainless crimson trace .38 everyday. When something a little more substantial is required I have a Glock 23.
I have never had to defend myself or someone else by pulling a gun.
