Doves!

Haven't seen as many doves as I did last weekend in the River area! I know there is a lot of wheat right now but to see the flocks all day long was cool.
I was talking to one farmer who said there were even more around.

Going to be a great season.

BSd with the new CA. DFG guy for the area at the ramp. (Squaw Lake) Young guy who seems like he has his head screwed on straight.

It's always a zoo, no matter when it opens.

Re: Doves!

As long as the thunder storms dont come and push them away. I remember a few years ago, went to yuma early augest. there were dove every where. Inbetween then and opening day the thunder storms rolled thew and pushed them all south. Hunting wasnt bad, just not great. limited by 8:30 insted of the usual 6:30/7:00.
