Sutherland Turkey Tune Up

Anyone going to this on Saturday? It sounds like it may be useful for getting some info for a guy like me who's never hunted turkey's. If not and it's a waste of time, someone please let me know.

Re: Sutherland Turkey Tune Up

Scott,
They have some pretty good turkey hunters up there. You have to pull one of them aside and ask questions. They'll have maps available and have how to's mini seminars.
Sure would beat going out blind. Do you have a bow?

No bow yet. It's been on the list of things to gear up for and learn for a while now, but my plate has been pretty full these last 2 years so it hasn't happened yet. Are the Sutherland hunts archery only?

Re: Sutherland Turkey Tune Up

If you haven't done so before it's worthwhile, I may show up just to buy tickets for the Turkey Federation fundraiser. The biologist guy (Gary?) that will talk about the original turkey transplant has some very good things to say but some of his present info is dated or incomplete.
