new toy

pick up the new FN-40. first few mags I thought the sites were off,
<img src="http://www.bloodydecks.com/gallery/files/3/3/4/9/first_mag.jpg" alt="my40" />

so I had one of the guys come in and verify..after he grouped them like leathal weapon and explained the correct way to pull the trigger versus a bow...it got better.<img src="http://www.bloodydecks.com/gallery/files/3/3/4/9/second_mag.jpg" alt="my40" />
would feel alot more comfortable if I could carry when out with the bow...especially after some of the recent scouting reports near the border and all.

Re: new toy

Is it legal to carry a firearm while bowhunting in CA? I don't believe it is in CO and wouldn't think it would be here either. Just curious.

Also, post a picture of that pistol if you have one.

Re: new toy

Not legal to carry a pistol while bowhunting in CA. At least not during the bow only seasons. I actually had a warden pat me down last year while bear hunting.

It is legal to pack now in AZ (due to illegals) and in WY(due to griz). These are very recent exceptions.

I figured as much. It's odd that you can carry a pistol in AZ due to the illegals but not in Southern Kalifornia. I must say that I'm hugely surprised by that disparity...

Re: new toy

Not to throw this off track and this is not trying to be political but how often are there incidents with illegals? We saw a ton of them while hunting Barrett lake for ducks and never had an issue.

You're carrying a 12ga.

I've had them look for stuff (food/water) in the boat but when they saw me and the dog the went on there way.
