AZ Elk and Antelope application deadline passes

I don't understand how/why people from SoCal complain about buying the AZ license. If you don't use it, yeah it sucks. But come on, it's only a 3-4 hr drive and the Dove hunting is awesome. That is a cheap and easy way to have a lot of fun and get some use out of that license. Not to mention the OTC archery deer tags.

And yes, buying the license is nothing new. It's been that way for at least the last few years. OR and NV are the same way.

Rubberhook, if you draw another elk tag you can forget about falling out of your chair. I'll be coming over to your house and beating you with that chair.

Last year the results were posted about 6 weeks from the deadline. I would hope this year will be a little quicker than that since they do not have the deer, turkey, etc. applications to sort through. My guess is 3/23.

Since I got my bull last year, I am probably done getting drawn for the next couple of years.

i put in for elk. its my first year. so im not expecting very much.

I have been hunting Az since 1971, shot my first buck in 1972 in the AZ strip the good old days, I have hunted the kaibab 17 years for archery deer and 4 other times with a rifle I have seen the best of the best as far as deer goes. I have hunted elk with a bow twice. Once in 1998 and iIshot a rag horn, and I drew a tag in 2006, it took me 8 years to get that so I probably won't draw again unitl 2012 or so, they jus hate the non residents, they will be loosing alot of money from us and I think thats why they raised the tags for us this year. Oh well there loss. They will probably come up with alot of those depredation hunts for everyone to send to. I got one of those back in 2004. Ya shot me a big old cow elk in January. Anyway, someone will sue the AZ fish & game again and here we will go again. Well good luck on the draw, I sent for unit 1, 27, 5A.
