Roomate has decoys, and is a pretty good caller. Only problem is once you get out of San Diego city limits all we see is ravens... Let me know if you find a place Bryant, I'm down to go, so is Bob I'm sure...

WTF....there is a season for crows???.....those fuckers fly in at dusk like the movie birds around my house at dusk...if they stay around to long and make too much noise I pop a couple with the pellet gun and they are on their way....talking by the thousands
I've heard of "eating crow"....but it didn't sound to good.

Can you shoot them with a rifle like varmints, or is it shotgun only?

shot gun only. Crows are fun to hunt, but they are hard to find outside city limits in any numbers.. Most if not all the black birds you see in the desert are Ravens and shooting ravens is a no no. TheRaven's Aviary - Crow vs. Raven |

Imperial Valley is loaded with them - put up an owl decoy (crows HATE owls) anywhere near a feed lot, bring water to cool the gun barrels.
