On1/31/07 I ordered a Timney trigger assembly for my .270 from Timney. Lady seemed very nice and offered advice on fitting the trigger on a Ruger. Talked to her a bit and gave her my shipper number, paid with MC, and she said it would go out that day.
No trigger by Friday so I called several times until I got thru. "Oh Yeah....I was just trying to call you!" she says. "I'll make sure it goes out right now"
Well it's Tuesday 2/6/07 and now when I call the 866 number and the local 602 number the recording says they are no longer in service.
Wow, that is shitty. I've heard nothing but good things about their products but have no experience with their cust service. I hope it works out for you. They are not a fly by night company and have been in the trigger business for many years so I bet there is a logical explanation.
I ordered a timney trigger once and it never came. I called them and they told me that they shipped it to a different city. They had to ship another one and I got that one. That was a two week deal.....HHmmmmmm...
Timney is not what he or they use to be. He got really popular with release triggers for trap shooters. I saw him many years ago when he lived locally and he was getting up there in years. I wouldn't be surprised if he was not alive and ther family or someone else carrried on with the name. I run a trap range and have heard a few unhappy customer stories.
