Trouble with Timney

On1/31/07 I ordered a Timney trigger assembly for my .270 from Timney. Lady seemed very nice and offered advice on fitting the trigger on a Ruger. Talked to her a bit and gave her my shipper number, paid with MC, and she said it would go out that day.

No trigger by Friday so I called several times until I got thru. "Oh Yeah....I was just trying to call you!" she says. "I'll make sure it goes out right now"

Well it's Tuesday 2/6/07 and now when I call the 866 number and the local 602 number the recording says they are no longer in service.

WTF...?!?!?!

BEWARE Timney Trigger

Re: Trouble with Timney

That sucks. If you had ordered it through Cabala's or Midway you'd already have it in your hands. Go figure. Good to know that about them.

Re: Trouble with Timney

Ditto what speedgoat said. First thing I would do is call you CC and tell them, you'll ge thte money back right away. Then order it from Midway.

Re: Trouble with Timney

Wow, that is shitty. I've heard nothing but good things about their products but have no experience with their cust service. I hope it works out for you. They are not a fly by night company and have been in the trigger business for many years so I bet there is a logical explanation.

Talking Re: Trouble with Timney

Always a logical explanation.......

I got home tonite and the trigger was sitting on my doorstep.

I asked for it to be shipped to my office and that is what the invoice says......

But it is here and hopefully they will reply to my email so I can find out what happened to their phones

All's well.....They even sent me a lollipop in the package.! Or is that a sucker....?

Re: Trouble with Timney

I ordered a timney trigger once and it never came. I called them and they told me that they shipped it to a different city. They had to ship another one and I got that one. That was a two week deal.....HHmmmmmm...

Re: Trouble with Timney

Timney is not what he or they use to be. He got really popular with release triggers for trap shooters. I saw him many years ago when he lived locally and he was getting up there in years. I wouldn't be surprised if he was not alive and ther family or someone else carrried on with the name. I run a trap range and have heard a few unhappy customer stories.
