Re: Local turkey hunters

My wife already shit. Yesterday, I told her that I bought myself a b-day present, a Double Bull blind for turkey hunting. She said, "You never hunt turkeys." I said, "That's because I didn't have a blind." She refrained from leaving me on my b-day. But, I think shit's going to hit the fan come March.

Re: Local turkey hunters

I see turkeys all the time when I'm up hunting wild hogs in the Paso Robles area. I have called in and killed a few but they were just crawling with bird lice which kind of turned me off to killing them.

I shot these pics of small flock of jakes this past November when I was hunting hogs. I had stopped my quad and they just walked right to me. I didn't have any calls but when I would gobble they would all gobble right back at me...it was hilarious. I was only 20 feet from these "wild" turkeys when I shot these pics...I could have cracked one over the head with a golf club.

That's what's cool about central Cali...blacktail deer, hogs and turkeys all in the same area...and I say kill em' all!

Brother, you and I need to get our wives hooked up with each other so they can bitch about what SOB's we are while we go hunting. Misery loves company and mine has been quite miserable as of late She is gonna shit when fishing season starts up. Hell, I'm already jonesing to go kill some surf perch. That is bad.

Re: Local turkey hunters

Actually, I think it's better to separate them. If they get together it really snowballs, and they scheme up ideas for cutting us off. We walk a thin line when it comes to hunting and fishing vs. family. Tight rope walkin' all the time.

Re: Local turkey hunters

Very true OT. Miserable women get together and get more miserable. Then all they do is scheme about how they can make our lives miserable too. Things like, "you spent 192 days hunting and fishing last year. Now we need to spend 192 days going on vacation together (which means lame spas and massages and shopping where she spends your money) to keep it equal." They do this purely out of jelous resentment since they can't entertain themselves as well as we can.

My wife has a mother and older sister that rule the roost. They are the Alpha females of the household and thier husbands have pretty much no say in anything. That shit don't fly in my world. I have to frequently engage in covert operations to keep them from spending too much time with my wife and poisoning her brain. Especially when my wife is in a vulnerable state. Like when I'm 1000+ miles away having fun while she is lonely at home. That gets dangerous.

Yes, keep them seperate. A scorned woman is a very scary thing. Scorned women together is what nightmares are made of.

Holy Shit!

I'm gonna have to unsubscribe to this thread now. I get enough grief already and I have way too many ideas like that running through my head as it is.
