| Wild Turkey Question NOW WITH PICS
I know I'll catch a ribbing for asking but I've got so many wild turkeys on my property and Thankgiving is around the corner, so.......
1. When is Turkey Season?
2. Can you take them out of season if on your property?
3. Are they good to eat?
4.You take them with a head shot right?
5. Should I just buy a Butterball?
Seriously,
This morning there were 22 Turkeys in my back yard. I see them almost every morning or in the late afternoon. They are so use to me I can get within about 15 feet of them and sometimes the Tom puffs up and blocks the driveway and I have to get out of the truck to chase him off.
Try to keep the smart ass comments down to a dull roar.
thanks.

Screwdriver and a handful of corn. Be creative and quiet. Wristrocket........insert quiet death here.
If you get CAUGHT it would be costly but unless you have a Turkey humpin neighbor don't sweat it.
A real neck would know that, turn in your gold couch necklace. YOU ARE AN IMPOSTER.

1 San Diego county's season is in March.
2 No, at least not under normal circumstances. You would need to prove that they are destructive to your property and/or causing you economic hardship in order to kill them with a depredation permit. Other wise you must have a license and stamp and take them undger the constraints of DFG law.
3 Yes, very good.
4 Yes but you must use a shotgun, a bow or a .22 cal air rifle. No standard rifles.
5 Yes. But what you really should do is contact me so I can come take care of those pests legally. Honestly, I would be glad to help you with your problem. I'll even help you dig ditches, mend fences, stack or cut wood, wash your truck, bring your wife roses, etc. I'm serious. If you are worried about gunshots and problems with neighbors, I have bow and will travel.

El Toro,
If you want to come up and hunt them that's fine with me and my neighbors are cool they wouldn't mind you on their 20 acres but probably want to do it in season. Shotgun, bow it doesn't matter. I usually wack the ground squirrels with my Gammo .177 but nobody says shit when I go on a rampage on their furry asses with my 12 guage. Wouldn't take too long to bag one they just kinda cruise through single file on the way down to my creek.
I really kinda go WTF? when I see those guys on TV hunting for them with all the camo gear and I can just walk up to them in my work clothes?
Careful about volunteering especially washing my truck, that black fucker is a bitch to wash.
