G-1 late buck in C-4...Next we put in for the draw for Tehama Wildlife Area during the G-1 hunt. The private property we hunt on has the wildlife area on one side and BLM on the other.
Also put in for North Eastern Oregon. I haven't logged on yet to see the results but I have 1 preference point already (didn't get drawn last year).
Oh yeah, if I don't hunt anywhere else in Cali, then I'll get a second tag in the A-22.

Bluething, you guys are sitting on a pretty good tag, but you'll have to hunt it smart. Plan a couple of scouting trips. I bowhunted that zone last year. In 11 total days of scouting and hunting, I found 63 bucks, including some serious bombers (one of which I missed at 36 yards ). Sorry, I ain't tellin where. I'm just saying this to demonstrate that the bucks are still there. X12 has gotten a bad rap in recent years and the success numbers have fallen off a cliff. One thing I promise you, you will not see many bucks, if any, if you don't get far away from the roads. One word of advice... backpack. Good luck.

El Toro, thanks for the info, I have'nt been up there for years but we backpack in about 6 to 8 miles, set camp and hunt around 2 miles from camp.We don't see anybody,I think the deer don't even know what we are. Thanks again.Jess

D10...again. Friend from work has property that borders Tejon. No hunting required, just walk out behind the house and pick out a fat dumb yard deer. I was done and home by 11am on opening day last year. Although I miss the whole camping/hunting outdoor experience the ease of aquisition and freezer full of tender 2year old makes it OK. And it ain't gamey because they feed on flowers and fruit trees from the homes in the area. The homeowners love me for taking out those pesky varmints and I'm happy to do it for them.
