huge local deer

i shot this buck in november with a rifle in wrightwood he is a monster for a local deer. i put some of the animals i shot on my gallery i hope you guys get a kick out them as time goes on ill put alot more on

Wrightwood, Montana? Unbelieveable animal anywhere...let alone CA!!! Very nice work. We are trying to figure out where we'll put in this year...looks like a Lake Sonoma archery tag will be our first choice. Good luck to all in the draw!!!

no it was so cal i have been hunting local for over 30 yrs i have been real lucky i have shot some nice 4x4 an 3x3 with bow and rifle

Nice job. I had a few good bucks when I lived in Idaho but since I have been back in Cali I have not gone on a hunt, kinda sucks but it will change.

we have some good deer hunting here in the local mtns you just have to get away from the other hunters i see bucks every time i go out the deer we have here are called a pacific high bread they are a lot smaller then there cousins

HEADSTRONG,
Awesome buck there! If you have any good sized bow killed bucks from CA you should get them measured for the California Bowman Hunters record book. That is our state archery association and they keep records for bow killed animals in CA. Either I, or BOWHUNTR (who posts here on occaision), can give you more info if you are interested in getting it entered. Come to think of it, CBH is an organization all of us CA bowhunters need to join to support bow hunting in our state.

i have many bucks that would make the book. i now CBH very well I have 5 friends that score for CBH. one of my best friends is david devile he is a senior member and one of the top hunters in the state. the buck in the pic is 137 inchs he is my biggest in cal. with a rifle. 121 is my biggest with a bow. we need to hook up this season and do some hunting an fishing call me. i will put my 121 in my gallery he is a clean 4x4
