Gotta be a joke. At least I hope its a joke. Really lame if not. That certainly is not hunting. Someone has too much time on their hands and no respect for game or game laws.

That's as fucked up as the online remote rifle bullshit! Unbelievable if it's not a hoax.

Gee, why not just use a .50 calibre Barret so you can drop 'em at 2 miles?

I'm not sure on what the deer populations are in Wisconsin but other states in the midwest like Missouri the deer populations are out of control. Last year in Missouri a non res deer tag allowed you to shoot one buck 8 point or bigger and 10 does, extra doe tags could be purchased over the counter.
Although I would never hunt deer with a cannon, I doubt that many deer are being killed that way!

I hunted deers in Wisconsin. Those deers are big, thanks to the farmers who grow mostly corns & soybeans. Mostly you will be in the wooded/ brush area, so hunters use 30-30 and/or shotgun with slugs.

Hi Chris,
Well, that was some 20 yrs ago and I didn't do very well then (froze my butt off). But I did help skin 5~6 deers, it wasn't so bad once the skin came off and those big eyes were not starring at me. It was like filleting tuna.
Those farm boys up there really depend on the meat to take them thru the winter. As you know, farmers don't have lots of cash, especially a young family who're just starting out.
I don't think I'll go back there and hunt in the near future though. Last time I saw on the news, an asian guy with gun in the woods may raise a few eyebrows.
