if i shoot something worth mounting i want to have a plan of action....
i have done some research on how to prepare, cape and "sock" a deer for mounting... but any little tips would be great
who does good taxidermy (local sd prefered)... i would like someone that is experienced with all aminals... might need a deer or some birds in the future mounted
pictures (of mounts), names, phone numbers and prices would be a big help
thank you in advance!

Can't be of much help in terms of big game as I have only had an elk mounted from a place called the Trophy Room in Costa Mesa. The one hog I had mounted was from a local taxidrmist near Paso Robles.
As far as waterfowl my pick would be Darius Mostoufi. Takes awhile if you can get him to do it but worth the wait in my opinion.
Here is a few pics of some of the work he has done for me as well as others...
For North American game, I'm convinced that the best around, at any price (and he's not as much as L & OH) is Breck Dickinson in El Centro. His work is flawless and I'm incredibly picky when it comes to taxidermy. I have my bear rug to pick up there next week.
