It's great to support the local guys... It's just kind of sad how few places there are in SD. Try to shop for decent boots.... I pretty much depend on Cabelas for the most selection. Example - A few years ago I went to Sports Authority, and asked where the hunting stuff was.. the guy told me, "We got rid of it...I guess it looks bad." There are more freaking smoke shops than any type of hunting / outdoor places in San Diego... shows you where the interest is!!

I'll throw one in for Willow Creek Archery they're nice guys performance archery carries the best of the best and overcharges for everything in that shop and you don't really need that to hunt local. Also the guy that owns performance is a tool.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I'll stand up for the owner of Perf Archery, like I would the owners of Willow Creek or Bow N Arrow Shop too. He is an experienced hunter and very knowledgeable about the sport. IMO, anyone who supports archery in this state is a good person and he certainly does that. We need our local bow shops and I think all three owners are good guys who provide us with quality equipment and the service we need. It aint easy being a small business owner in this industry, with the mail order and big box houses trying to undercut them. They deserve our support. Just my .02.

I agree about supporting local business owners but I'm just jaded I've never asked Bob a quastion without the answer being to spend more money. I just recently had a WARRENTY repair on my bow that I was told would be a no charge and when I picked it up Bob wanted to charge me $40. I told him I was told there would be a no charge for the repair and he graciously nocked down the bill to $20. I gave it to him and walked out of there for the last time. Local business owners should also support the locals if you nickle and dime me on the small stuff I won't have any money for the big ticket stuff.

Sounds like another satisfied Performance Archery customer. That's a very typical Bob Frohme story. I've got a few good things to say about his shop but they're pretty well outweighed by the bad ones. I made my last visit/purchase in that store a couple years ago. I don't miss it at all.
