albacora,
There are some birds around. They are in large flocks, mostly around the feedlots. This time of year it's tough to hunt doves cuz they are really bunched up.
I have seen some good numbers around Brandt cattle on brandt road.
Also see some good flights coming from the desert into calipat in the AM.
If you call ahead, Bobby Lofton will usually let guys hunt the pens off Kershaw and Rutherford. You shoot pigions all day and usually end up with a limit of dove too.
Eddie

Gary, Thanks, didn't realize the pheasant opener is the same day.
A stretch since I've not had "day" passes for years.

Eddie, Thanks for your eyes. You're North, a bit of El Centro?

Y'all here are great with sharing info.

I was raised in Pacific Beach and knew all the spots, Hell, I shot quail/dove in Clairemont! Not so now.

Flies it does next weekend.
I found a couple spots holding birds while I have been quail and duck hunting the last couple weeks.
