duck boat project part 3

Long weekend!

found something out today. beware new carpet!!!!!!!! when we got the boat the owner had just put new carpet in and well now we know why. Not that it hurt us one bit since we were going to rip all the wood out anyways but the wood on the boat was trashed. for the most part all of it was dry rot junk. Would have sucked if we were bass fishermen cheep boat + new carpet = fun times. so the carpet is finally out and all we have to do is sand the fuzzy shit left over out of it. We start the build up process next week hope to have it semi done in a week or so.

Oh and we did hunt sat and shot pheasants and doves down south....

That doesn't look like fun.

We've been doing duck boat restoration for 2 weeks now and probably have 2 more left.

Not as much fun as killing ducks, but it has to be done right.

I've documented the whole thing and will post a full deal when we are done.

well acetone works but we had so much carpet to do we went with brute force. razor cut the carpet into strips and pulled. The glue and Fuzz will be no match for the belt sander. I never want to remove carpet again ever ever

Haha. I haven't had time to even organize the pics or do anything. I've been working on this stupid thing every night after work and every weekend.

We're gonna have a nice one in a couple weeks that should last a long time.

Strip - Sandblast - Cut- Weld - Paint - Re-rig - Install Blind and Trim out

We just finished Weld. Halfway home.
