Dont be blind shooting at shit!. Thats bad news, Coyotes are extremely smart, and pretty damn clever. I got a couple tricks for them. The coyote call isnt one of them. If he got food from your property once hell look around there again. Calling him, then firing randomly at him may have ruined your chance at getting him again.
My father hit one not to long ago with a 306 and he flipped in the air 3 or 4 times, (hit the spine) Had it skinned, and it sits as a dresser piece.
Be safe looking for your coyote.
