if so...
i read the DFG rules for muzzleloaders... my interpretation on the law is that you COULD NOT have a scope during the "muzzleloader season"
and during general season it is OK have a scope.

did i read this right?

No shit? I guess I better take mine off then. I guess it's like the code that you can use a crossbow during rifle.

f) Under the provisions of a muzzleloading rifle only tag, hunters may only possess muzzleloading rifles as described in subsection 353(a) equipped with open or "peep" type sights only except as describled in subsection 353(k).

the "subsection 353(k)" if for disabled hunters

i guess this means no scope right????

no scopes on mls in ml season. during general you can though. ML hunting is fun. I like the old traditional style. I have a .54 Pedersoli Hawken that is a tackdriver with 430 gr TC Maxiballs. Only killed one hog with it though. Makes me want to break that puppy out again.

how hard is it to get a one of the "special" tags for the san deigo area (ie. muzzleloader or doe for general season)

from the quotas it doesnt seem like they would last long... or is there a drawing?

the reason im asking is cause i just ordered the CVA ACCURA (back ordered though, should recieve it by mid nov)... i figured it would be fun for deer and maybe spend some time looking for the hogs

those are tags that fill in the drawing so you must apply. Odds are still pretty good that your draw with no points, but you will definitely draw with 1 pt.
