scouting for rifle season

I sure dont know what everyone is talking about, that they arent seeing any deer, last night I went scouting with a friend for rifle season and we hit my favorite spot and didnt get shot at #1 Click the image to open in full size. and low and behold we saw 3 legal bucks, and 6 does all within no more than 70 yards the biggest was around at least a 3x3 or more and they were walking like it was a parade no rush and didnt see 1 hunter all were seen between 630 and 800 so get out there they are there...

I will when I shoot them, I think the problem everyone is having is they arent going in deep enough, we were in about 3-3 1/2 miles off main road and fresh sign every where and only saw one set of hunter foot prints and didnt look very fresh, so maybe every one should give up the close easy access tree stands and walk in a ways....bust some brush to get to some of those deep in meadows..

just away from all the traffic and the inexperienced hunters that make a lot of noise and over load an area, when we left we drove up the highway and you wouldnt believe the amount of cars and trucks working a certain area, my area there wasent a vehicle within 5 miles, there are quite a few guys on here that hunt the same area and you hear them talk about seeing blinds and tree stands anywhere from 100-300 feet from them and hunters walking right below them, well that doesnt happen very often in the area I hunt, common sense will tell you if other hunters are walking around you that your chance of seeing a deer has been cut down dramaticlly.. around this area after opening weekend most of the bigger deer that have been around for a few seasons know to get the hell out that their area has been invaded by something that normally isnt there in that amount of of presence, so get off the beaten path plain and simple, dont be so lazy, and for me where I hunt it isnt so easy for me anymore since the surgery and getting OLDER....
