2010 hunting lic regs

Last night I was over visiting xhunter223 and it was brought to my attention that as of 2010 to get your new hunting lic no matter how many years you have had a hunting lic you will need a hunter safety card to get your new 2010 lic, no previous lic any good or anything.. looks like the state has found another way to get more money and to try and fuck us....

I don't know what the exact reg is going to be, but I also heard that not only do you need to take the class again, but that you'll continue to have to do it every 5 years......

It's a joke. Another reason I can't wait to get out of this state.....

From the DFG website

Hunting License Requirements
Anyone applying for a hunting license must provide evidence that they meet hunter education requirements. Applicants must present one of the following as evidence of hunter education when applying for a California hunting license:
• An annual California hunting license issued in any prior year;
• A two-day nonresident California hunting license issued after the 1999/2000 license year;
• A written declaration which states that the applicant had a California hunting license in any prior year, but that license is now lost or destroyed;
• A California certificate of hunter education completion or equivalency with a California hunter education validation stamp (see Hunter Education Program, page 9);
• A certificate of successful completion of a California-approved hunter education course from any state or province; or
• A current hunting license or a hunting license issued in either of the two previous years from any state Hunting License, province, European Country, or South Africa.

That is the old law now starting 2010 you must have a 2010 hunter safety cert not an old lic or old hunter cert (must take the class again)....... they just havent posted it on web page yet, monday call df&g and they will explain it to you....

What are they going to do about hunter safety cards for those that have a lifetime hunting license. I would like to see what they plan to do for those.
