Pilot program apparently will start around Nov.2010 | So Can I take my Saftey Card down to DFG and have them enter me into the computer there? Or do I have to take the damn class all over again?

Pilot program apparently will start around Nov.2010 | mike a woman at f&g just told me its all hear say and if anything does change they would notify the public but until that time it is only hear say unless you want to hunt out of state then the card is required.... but now nothing is changing as she just said.....

OK boys and girls I just returned from the F&G meeting at SI and we cornered 6 game wardens including the south district LT amd they say//// hunter safety cards, the only change is///THEY WILL BE WANTING ALL OLD CARDS TURNED IN SO THEY CAN ISSUE NEW CARDS WITH A NUMBER SO IF YOU LOSE IT THEY CAN GIVE YOU ANOTHER ONE BY THE NUMBER ON THE COMPUTER, if you have old lic you dont need a card to get a new lic and this includes 2010 NO OTHER CHANGES and these are the people that really know about it so that is what... so relax no more BS or panic....

Somethings rotten in Denmark here... Did I read this correctly? This year, prior to purchasing a hand gun, I had to take the test and get a hand gun safety card. I meet criteria #s 2, 3, and 4. What did I miss?
BTW Mike, It'll be interesting to see how the Hunter Safety Card thingy sorts out. I still have my original card from 1972.

Interestingly enough I just ordered new non-res Arizona hunting licenses for my son and I ($26.50 and $151.25 respectively) and I was never asked to supply hunter safety cards...
I have held that same license for over 15 years and have never been asked to supply anything in that regard even though we both have them.
