09 Local Archery Deer Contest, Official Rules

There will be two prizes. One for the first deer and one for the biggest buck. Hopefully this will be the start of an annual tradition.

OFFICIAL RULES

All CA Department of Fish and Game rules and regulations apply. Violators will be DQ'd and severly beaten.

Contest will run through the end of the season - 12/31/2009

Eligible animals must be legally killed off of public land in San Diego County using archery tackle.

Field photos must be taken and posted on this site. Must be field photos, not back of truck, garage, front/back yard, etc.

Eligible participants must be registered Bloody Decks members. No posting for your "buddy" who is not a member.

First kill award must also be posted here first to win. Deer can be either sex as defined by CA DFG. It is not the time of the actual kill but the time that the report and field photos are posted here that will determine the winner.

Biggest buck will be determined by using the California Bowman Hunters or Pope and Young scoring systems. That means NET score. One Track and el Toro will be the measurers. No drying period necessary. Bucks must be scored by 1/7/2010.

Any disagreements will be settled by mudwrestling.

Shit I only need to go 1.8 miles ,why would I drive 1100 miles

Very cool. Good deer to kill IMO. He looks to be at least a 1.5 yr old (born last year) and should have a hell of a lot more antler than that by now. Probably not one we want breeding.
