Killed 6 hogs this weekend

Went out this last weekend on the ranch and we shot 6 hogs. Found all 6 also, which is good. One guy shot his with a .325 WSM at 35 yards and it didn't come out the other side, just stuck in the shield. When we were cleaning it, we found a mushroomed .22 just underneath the skin and lodged in the shield around the ribcage. Never even penetrated him.

Another guy shot his with a .300 WSM and it ran off with a softball sized hole in him. Tracked him down after an hour and spooked him out of some bushes. Had to shoot him again 3 times with his .40 sidearm before killing it. Pretty tough animals!

Pics are here if interested. Scroll down to Aug 21-23 for this last weekend.

We were looking for more, but had a good weekend overall. Hope you guys are having fun too!

Good hunting,

Dustin

I think they taste like someone put sugar on the wild ones family loves them. onthe pic with the 6 of them mine looked more like the one on the left. those others are bad ass hogs.

They are quite tasty. Even better when you get them yourself!

Yeah, central Oklahoma. Lots of pigs, just have to get out there and kill'em! That hunt is an awesome operation, Bob is a good guy and really busts his butt to put you on hogs.
