Duck boat work

I hunted pretty hard last season and the boat blind took a beating. I decided I needed to do a few things to make it more user friendly for the boyz.
Repainted the outside, added storage and changed the blind material. I also put a roof over it that flips out of the way and is removable. I'm going to order a new 25hp 4-stroke zuki(electric start) I reinforced the transom too.
Time to fish.

That's some serious jerry riggen right there! How does that stuff hold up towing it down the highway?

Thanks.
There are drink and shell holders too. I lined the seat storage with foam...for drinks and so that stuff doesn't rattle around. Everything rolls up and stores away for traveling. Nice to get rid of the grass. Easier to cook and operate the heater. It will be stored where I shoot which means I won't have to travel too far. The blind material is 1000 denier cordura, tough stuff! http://www.huntersdesignblinds.com/
It'll shoot 3 guys with all the gear and dog(s) comfortably.
Front storage and a view from the "back".
I also made the dog ramp longer. I hinged it so I won't have to assist the dog getting in at all.
I really tried to make it user friendly.
My son wants to camp out in it this weekend.

I figured as much.

Just curious, is that thing gonna flip over with you all sitting on one side of the boat?

Nope. I think it's 52" wide on the bottom. There's 6' between the 2 seats. I'll also drive into the toolies too.
I put some 2" foam between the ribs and put sheet alum over it for the floor. I didn't like the wood and stepping over the ribs wasn't an option.

If you get bored our new boat is sitting in the shop and needs the exact same treatment... All the parts are there just need time.

Sweet ride you guys picked up! If I didn't already have one I would have bought it myself.
With your carpenter skills and Ali's....well whatever he has, it shouldn't take too long.

Did you guys decide on blind material? Are you going to cover the floor and then lay the hydro-turf?

There is lots of time before the season.... but it sure seems to fly by. I'm sure we'll be talking about it on Friday.

Looks nice Mikey.....I wanna build a gun box like that. Did you sheet that framing with wood or aluminum? How about the top? Piano hinge?

Yes Ghost Runner. Piano hinge. I also used a door sweep to cover the hnge and screws. Paneling for the side and the thick stuff for my fat azz. Left enough room for flexing but not enough so a shotgun shell would get through.
