How hard is it to tan a pelt? My wife has this Siamese Seal Point cat that's about 16 years old. Shows no sign of ill health. The cat has never liked me; it's a one owner cat. Has a bitchen coat on it and I'd like to tan it when the thing goes. Maybe start stripping it up and using it for fly patterns.

No, the wife has talked about having her stuffed and mounted when she dies. I think there are better uses.
The Indians used to get the urine and the brains of the same animal mix together and with a leather mallet pound in . You can buy tanning products on line , it all smell fucking bad... I would send it out and pay the $65 or so....
