Regarding: Support for the 2nd Annual Cibola National Wildlife Refuge Youth Goose Hunt
Dear Friends of Youth Hunting,
This letter has two purposes. The first is to inform you about the second annual Cibola National Wildlife Refuge Junior Goose Hunt this coming December 12-14. This opportunity was first proposed by the staff of the refuge in the fall of 2007, and is again being jointly sponsored by Arizona Game and Fish, Arizona Chapters of Ducks Unlimited, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The 2007 event was a great success, and 2008 promises to be bigger and better yet.
To that end, I want to take this opportunity to again thank last year’s sponsors:
Ducks Unlimited – Lake Havasu, Scottsdale, & Tucson Chapters
California Waterfowl Association
Delta Waterfowl
Avery Outdoors

This note’s second purpose is to ask all our friends in the business community to consider ways in which they might help sustain this still-new event. As noted above, many of you joined our sportsmen and women in really stepping up to the plate last year to provide equipment and other support. Decoys and other specialized waterfowl hunting equipment remain high on our needs list. I invite you to help us further the sport of waterfowl hunting by contributing the resources needed to make this year’s Cibola youth hunt even more successful. SWAHPC, our 501.c.3 partner, is again available to accept cash donations that will go directly to the support of this event.
Our hunters and those informed by the media invited to cover the hunt will be made aware of the many contributors who have invested in the future of hunting by their support of this event.
Please help us get the word out about this event and my thanks in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Gary R. Hovatter
