also if hunting over water on a still day lower it and it will blow the water a little and give your patern more movement

You can't use them in CA until December 1st but in my limited experience they do work. A lot of times the ducks will actually land near my baby mojo instead of near the other decoys. I have heard good things about the remote control ducks and could see the advantage to using them on bluebird days with no wind.
