I've got stepped on 3 times during the evening, hunting on a Wednesday and Thursday. Seems like they may not be getting a break with guys constantly trying to freaking sneek up on them. The thing is these guys are not being very stealthy. There are just tromping thru the woods.

I have 4 doe with twins with them working different areas. Kinda cool watching them from having spots during the summer to where they are now. Good sign for the future.... if they survive the hunting season. I've refrained from sticking mom so far.

They also seem VERY wary this season. I've had perfect conditions and have had deer coming right into me but turn around before they come into my shooting range. I even started turning my phone completely off. I don't know what I'm doing it but it gets frustrating. Tried walking to my stand from different areas, getting there earlier or later in some cases.
It's the Aqua Velva

These fuckers either have radar or can count cause if they don't see the same number of people come out of an area that went in then they cross it at a full on gallup.

Anyone seen any sign of cats? I've only been up twice but I saw sign of a cat in the area and I was just wondering if maybe there are more than in the past. The 2 does that I saw on the second trip (on a Thursday morning) were on HIGH alert and I didn't see another hunter.

I guess you couldn't answer my question because you haven't been allowed to hunt much.

I think the deer are visiting my spots in the mornings. I've mostly been hunting weekday pm's due to busy weekends and the deer know it as those bastards are farting around all morning in my setups. I have them figured out now.

Did the super sneeky deeky on the ground today and cruised some country I haven't hunted this year. Had multiple chances to kill 3 does this evening.

It's odd to hear about the crowds this year. I've actually been seeing the opposite. I don't think I've seen but a handful of hunters and that was only at their trucks. I've yet to see a guy in the field (knocking on wood). Me likey.
