Anyone need a training collar?

I have an older Tri-Tronics Sport 50 training collar I will sell cheap. I bought a newer version and dont need this one any longer. It works fine and has the charger and an Avery camo holster.

$60.00

Would this collar help control barking?? And would it fit a very small dog?

It's off the market.

Wouldn't fit a small dog Mike.

You can buy a bark collar. They are not very expensive. They come with a tone (warning) if the dog still barks it'll give them a little jolt. They soon learn that the tone means shut the hell up or else. Make sure they wear it a lot or they will become conditioned if you only put it on them when they bark. They have dummy collars that are the same weight but won't shock them. They'll act like lil angels with it on but once you take it off it's back to their old habits. Their are some that spray something instead of shocking them.

My Dog doesn't hunt cause I can't get her under control. She loves the water, retrieving, etc......

I told you, I would consider taking her if it was just me, but I don't want to ruin anyone elses hunt cause of a wild dog.

Easy brother.

A collar is not going to help, you'll just wear out the batteries. You have to know how to use a "conditioning" ecollar. It's not a cure all.
The dog gets use to it and realizes what it is and you'll have a good dog until you take it off then watch out. It's like getting out of jail for them. I have a dummy ecollar that is the same weight. That way the dog doesn't associate the conditioning with the collar.

Basic obedience should have been taught a looong time ago, no matter how hyper the dog is/was. Sit, come and stay. When they can do that on command you can move on to other stuff.

You should take him to a GOOD class to get him under control. Retrieving is easy for a lab, CONTROLED retrieves and manners are the tough part. Takes time. Some dogs get it a lot quicker than others.

Tired dogs are good dogs.
